The Meadows offers more
than 80 pristine lakes and waterways and preserve areas. There are approximately 17 miles of roads, 14 miles of sidewalks and bike trails, and a 1.7-mile fitness trail that wind throughout the community.The Meadows Community Association (MCA), the governing body of The Meadows, is located at 2004 Longmeadow.
The MCA sponsors several monthly activities and events for residents as well as annual events. In late fall, the MCA holds a large community yard sale at The Meadows Shopping Village as well as a craft fair at the Community Center. In February, amateur photographers from Sarasota and Manatee counties are invited to enter the annual juried photography show. The event culminates with a Concert in the Park. The “MCA Celebration of the Arts” is held in March for Meadows residents to show and sell their work. The “Meadows U” series of lectures and seminars, presented by guest speakers, provide useful information designed to enhance the lifestyles of Meadows residents.The Meadows Country Club —a prominent neighbor in the community and one of the finest clubs in Florida—adds to the quality of life in The Meadows, providing a variety of excellent dining options, meeting rooms, and programs as well as beautiful open spaces in three 18-hole golf courses, 16 lighted Har Tru tennis courts, and pro shops.
